Class Rules / Policies:
Rules & Cancellation Policy: Insurance regulations require closed-toed and healed shoes. No clogs, flip-flops, sandals. Tennis shoes are preferred.
Class Attendance: If you miss a class session please contact us to receive a copy of the homework. All of our classes at K9 Korral are taught in a series/needed basis, for this reason we cannot permit drop-ins or make-up classes. You may pay for a private lesson to get caught up.
If you miss two sessions or more, your dog will not be able to graduate this level.
Policy on Dog Behavior in Class: We reserve the right to decline entry to (or excuse from class) any dog who presents behavior issues that may be dangerous, disruptive, or exacerbated by participation the class. If you have concerns about how your dog will react in a classroom setting please contact us on the phone prior to signing up for the class. If the trainer determines that it is in everyone’s best interest that your dog work with a private trainer you will be provided with a full refund and or apply to a private lesson.
Policy on Aggressive Puppies: No people or dog aggressive puppies are allowed in puppy group classes. Puppies found to have aggression issues (either dog or people) will be pulled from the Puppy Class and additional training options will be referred.
Policy of Human Behavior in Class: We reserve the right to decline entry to (or excuse from class) any person whose conduct or behavior may be disruptive to the class. Our classes are reward-based and focus on dog friendly training methods to help people teach their pet dogs basic pet-dog manners. Harsh corrections, jerking & pulling and/or intimidating training methods will not be tolerated. We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone for any reason.
Class Cancellations: If the minimum enrollment for a class (4 dogs) is not met by at least 2 days prior to the first class session, the class will be canceled or rescheduled. We will notify you at least 2 days before the class was scheduled to begin, to see if you would like to enroll in a different session or receive a refund.
Unaltered Dogs in Class: We welcome all friendly and social dogs into our classes. Dogs that are in heat cannot attend class. Refunds are not available for a dog that cannot attend class due to her heat cycle.
Health and Vaccinations: You are required to show proof that your dog is current on his or her vaccinations on or before the first day of class. By bringing your dog to class you certify that your dog does not have any contagious diseases. If at any point during the course your dogs become ill please call us immediately. Do not bring an ill dog to any class.
Refunds: Refunds will be provided if you notify us by email and phone of your cancellation at least 3 days before the first class session. A partial refund (50%) will be offered if, within the first session of your class, your dog is unable to continue due to injury or illness. No refund will be provided for any reason once the first session of your class has started.
Clean Up: It is the responsibility of the owner or their representative to remove any of their dogs droppings. Please carry a plastic bag, Available free at either door.
Leash: No person shall have their dog off lead without the permission of an instructor.
Collars & Leashes: Chock chains, Prong, shock Collars or chain collars and leashes are not permitted at any time. We also ask you leave your retractable leash at home for your dogs protection and others.
Smoking: Smoking is not permitted in building at anytime.
Footwear: Not wearing the appropriate footwear may result in not attending that particular class for your safety.
Returned Check Charge: There is a $40 fee for all returned checks.
Time: Our classes start on time so please make every effort to be here. After class has been in session for 10 minutes, you will not be able to attend current class. No Exceptions
Warming up: After arriving in class we would like you to start warming up your dog before class start. (get your dogs attention look command , walk, Along with other commands)
Treats: We recommend you use small training treats for the dogs during class. Something he/she will be able to take without much chewing. Soft treats Please as crunchy treats fall on floor.
After the first class we do not allow plastic bags with treats in the training area. This is not only disruptive to other dogs but also takes the attention away from you own dog. You can either keep your treats in your pocket or in a special training pouch, which we also sell in our store.
Waiver of Liability:
K9 Korral Obedience Training Center Inc., will endeavor to create as safe an environment as possible for the class or private training of my dog and will endeavor to offer only sound, safe, and responsible training and training instructions. However, I recognize that K9 Korral Obedience Training Center Inc., is not responsible for any unintentional errors, omissions, or incorrect assertions. I understand that the recommendation of any other product or service is not a guarantee of my satisfaction with that product or service. Further, I am and will remain responsible for the actions of my dog at all times.
I hereby agree to abide by the rules and policies of K9 Korral Obedience Training Center Inc., training private instruction or classes as set forth in this contract. I understand that attendance of dog training classes or private instruction is not without risk to myself, members of my family, guests who may attend, or to my dog. In consideration of, and as inducement to the acceptance of my application for training membership in this training class or private instruction, I hereby agree to indemnify and hold harmless K9 Korral Obedience Training Center Inc., its officers, directors, instructors, agents, employees and/or representatives of any and all claims, or claims by any member of my family, or accompanying guests of mine of injury, expense, costs or damages to myself, my dog or any handler sponsored by me both in class and out of class or private instruction. In addition, I agree that I will defend and indemnify K9 Korral Obedience Training Center Inc., for any injury, expense, costs or damages to any dog handlers or dogs, whether sponsored by me or not, or to third parties arising out of my own actions or the actions of my dog. I have read the above-stated provisions, and agree to accept those responsibilities.
*1.I understand that I am responsible for any harm caused by my dog while my dog is attending K9 Korral Obedience Training Center, Inc. Doggie Day Care & Boarding. I shall indemnify K9 Korral Obedience Center, Inc. against any claims made against the corporation or losses or damages of any kind suffered by K9 Korral Obedience Training Center, Inc. as a result of my failure to inform K9 Korral Obedience Training Center, Inc. of any pre-existing condition the dog may have (such as illness or aggression problems.) I understand and agree that in admitting my dog to K9 Korral Obedience Training Center, Inc. the facility has relied on my representation that my dog is in good health and has not harmed or shown aggressive or threatening behavior towards any person or any other dog.
*2.I understand and agree that K9 Korral Obedience Training Center Inc., will not be liable for problems, damage, or injury caused by my dog provided reasonable care and precautions are followed by day care staff. I understand that K9 Korral Obedience Training Center Inc., is fully insured. I release K9 Korral Obedience Training Center Inc., of any liability arising from my dog’s attendance and participation at the daycare. I understand that the day care is a place where animals co-mingle in groups. I understand my animal may be placed in a crate for "time outs" not to exceed twenty minutes, for overnight care or if injured. In extreme cases dogs may be muzzled for their protection or the protection of others. I understand that when dogs play in group’s nicks and scratches may occur. Day care staff may or may not notify me immediately. If the injury is not serious staff may feel it is ok to leave the dog till the end of the day and let me know about it when I pick up. If the injury is serious I will be notified immediately.
*3.I understand and agree that any problem or injury that develops with my dog will be treated as deemed best by K9 Korral Obedience Training Center Inc., Either my veterinarian or our mobile veterinarian will be contacted in the event of a medical problem that is serious in nature. The Florida Department of Agriculture requests that a plan be in place in the event your animal was to become deceased while at the day care. I will be notified immediately of the situation and the body will be taken to Animal Hospital or will be held at your request until your arrival.
*4.I understand that if my dog is left at the day care for a period of three days without contact from the owner this dog will be considered abandoned and necessary steps will be taken to turn the animal over to the proper authorities.
*5. I recognize that there are inherent risks of illness or injury when dealing with animals. Such risks include, but are not limited to, problems resulting from rough play, food scraps found outdoors and kennel cough (doggie colds).
*6. I, as the owner, agree to be solely responsible for any and all acts or behavior of my pet while in the care of K9 Korral Obedience Training Center Inc., If my pet should become ill or seem to be in need of medical consideration, K9 Korral Obedience Training Center Inc., reserves the right to administer aid and/or to use any available veterinarian. I, the owner, shall pay any expenses so incurred.
*7. I understand, cancellations made less than 24 hrs, or failure to show up, will result into full payment of the scheduled daycare or boarding.
Please remember there are no make up classes so plan accordingly.
